The six permanent Objects of Kiwanis International approved in 1924 have remained unchanged: To give primacy to the human and spiritual rather than to the material values of life. To encourage the daily living of the Golden Rule in all human relationships. To promote the adoption and the application of higher social, business, and professional standards. To develop, by precept and example, a more intelligent, aggressive, and serviceable citizenship. To provide, through Kiwanis clubs, a practical means to form enduring friendships, to render altruistic service, and to build better communities. To cooperate in creating and maintaining that sound public opinion and high idealism which make possible the increase of righteousness, justice, patriotism, and goodwill. Ferguson Kiwanis (a few years ago) VISITING OUR CLUB: Our club usually has a breakfast meeting on Monday mornings at 7:15 a.m. at the Thyme Table Restaurant on Florissant Road in Ferguson, Missouri. We have an outside speaker at most of our meetings talking about things of general interest to members of the club. The members join for breakfast at a little before 7:00 am and enjoy a little socialization before meeting time, hear our speaker and then do a little club business. At the Ferguson Kiwanis Club, IT IS ALL ABOUT THE KIDS! (We have one dinner meeting a month which is "usually" the Wednesday following the 4th Monday of the month (at 7 pm.....ask a Kiwanian before coming to a dinner meeting, which is also held at the Thyme Table Restaurant.)
